BUDGET WORLDCLASS FLEET With 25 percent of its fleet comprised of specialty vehicles, the Budget WorldClass Fleet is one of the most diverse in the world. In the United States, Budget features a wide selection of specialty vehicles ranging from sport utility vehicles, mini-vans and passenger vans to convertibles, luxury cars and motorcycles. Internationally, Budget's specialty fleet ranges from the Jaguar XJ6 and Mercedes Benz models throughout Europe, to Harley-Davidson motorcycles in Holland and the UK, Jeeps in Israel and Latin America, convertibles and campervans in Australia, and the largest four-wheel-drive fleet in New Zealand. BUDGET TRUCK RENTAL In addition to cars, Budget rents a peak fleet of 20,000 trucks worldwide ranging in size from cargo vans to 24' trucks. In the U.S., Budget rents a peak fleet of 12,000 trucks at more than 440 locations, 325 of which offer one-way truck rentals. Most of Budget's U.S. trucks are equipped with driver-friendly features such as air conditioning, automatic transmission, AM/FM stereo and power steering. At participating One-Way locations, Budget offers a helpful moving guide and rents or sells moving accessories including furniture pads, hand trucks, moving boxes and packing materials to make the moving process more convenient for the renter. ONE-WAY RENTALS One-Way car and truck rentals are available at many Budget locations worldwide with a choice of rate plans. Based upon length of rental and distance traveled, the all-inclusive rate is often the most economical one-way rental. BUDGET EXPRESS Budget Express highlights: Rapid check-in and check-out. In many locations, customers are able to bypass the counter. Availability at over 100 major U.S. and Canadian airport locations. A permanent renter profile is stored for quick reservations. Budget Express has its own dedicated reservations number. Budget Express is the preferred reservation program for frequent travelers, with complimentary membership. Each Budget Express member has a permanent renter profile stored in Budget's computer system. For every reservation, members need only call a special toll-free number to provide their arrival location, date and time. Budget forwards that information to the renting location electronically, ensuring that the pre-assigned car and rental agreement are ready upon the customer's arrival. Budget Express is currently available at over 100 major U.S. and Canadian airport locations. For faster checkouts, members go directly to their car via courtesy bus, bypassing busy counters. The rental agreement is either in the car or handed to them when they exit the lot. Where bypass service is not available, members simply go to a specially designated Budget Express counter where they receive their rental agreement and are on their way. For faster returns, Budget Express allows members to return their car by recording the mileage and gas usage, enclosing the rental agreement in a provided envelope, and dropping it in the convenient Budget Express Return box at the rental return facility. Their closed rental agreement is faxed or mailed within 24 hours. Where Budget Automated Express Return is available, a Budget representative meets the members in the lot during peak travel hours, scans their car ID, mileage and fuel level using a hand-held computer, and immediately prints out their receipt. This process closes credit card rentals that do not require additional adjustments and allows the customer to bypass the counter. FREQUENT RENTER REWARDS Budget is the industry leader with frequent renter programs around the globe. In the United States, the AwardsPlus program offers easy to earn rewards and requires no membership fees. Members simply apply a sticker to a membership card with every rental. On the second rental, travelers get an automatic free car-class upgrade and after four rentals earn a free one-day rental. In addition, valuable coupon booklets from Budget and its partners are sent out to AwardsPlus members each time they redeem their four rental stickers for a free day. NO-SMOKING FLEET For customers seeking no-smoking alternatives when they travel, Budget offers a substantial fleet of no-smoking cars in the United States and Canada. Budget recommends that customers request a no-smoking car when making reservations. These cars are available at no extra charge. AIRLINE PARTNERSHIPS Budget is a partner in many domestic and international airline frequent flyer programs. Every time members of these programs rent from Budget at participating locations worldwide, they earn free airline miles and credit toward car rental discounts, upgrades and free rental days.
