London Transport Travel Information Centres are the best place to go for travel advice, free maps, timetables and to buy Travelcards or Bus Passes. They also sell sightseeing tours and handy guide books.
Find them at: Underground stations: King's Cross, Liverpool Street, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, St. James's Park and Heathrow 1, 2 and 3.
National Rail stations: Euston and Victoria (closes 1900 daily).
Bus stations: Hammersmith and West Croydon.
Airports: Heathrow Terminal 1, 2 and 4 (4 closes 1500 daily) arrival halls.

National Rail Enquiries will give details of train services and the cost of travel For rail travel in the UK there is just one number to call - 0345 48 49 50. Calls are charged at local rate (plus any supplementary charge that may be made if you are staying in a hotel and use their switchboard facilities).
Personal callers
At a number of main line termini, the train operating companies have Help Desks where you can obtain information about your travel arrangements. Also to be found are advance booking service offices. There tickets may be obtained for travel to and from any station in the rail network.

Victoria Coach Station
National Express operates a daily scheduled network of coach services to 1,200 destinations around Britain. The Victoria Coach Station is an easy 10-minute walk from Victoria Station British Rail.
