The Central-Asian American Enterprise Fund is a privately managed, profit-oriented venture capital institution whose charge is to invest in successful small- and medium-sized, privately owned businesses in Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Through its Direct Investment Programme, the Fund provides financing to commercially viable small- and medium-sized enterprises. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, the Asian Crossroads Loan Company, the Fund provides loans to entrepreneurs from the region. The Fund welcomes the participation of international partners who are willing to provide risk capital, management expertise and new technology to enterprises in Central Asia. |
